Well as true as that is, it is also not.
Just because you have a list of prospects doesn't mean you earn.
If you don't start building some type of relationship with them.

Over the years of I have found out how to use social sites to help.
You can start by contacting them with the email they have on your
list.

Start finding out what their interests are.
What do they want from you.

Do a search for them on social sites.
Some lets you search by email so start there.

Send the a message asking for a friend request.
If you find the person on the site, don't just add them
to your friends list right away. You need to make sure
that this person has been added to your list.

Send them a message stating that you have been looking
for them because they have requested additional information
from you. You would like to further get to know them. By
adding you to their friends list.

This will also show them that you are a person and see that
you care more about them.

You can also increase your list by using the same idea by
looking up your referrals. You may not have their email
but may have there name or username. Do a search with those
on the search engines to see if you can find a related social
site they are on. It works better they have an image added.

Traffic exchanges are a great place to use this technique,
because most of them have images. You can also use the chat
area to get to now more people and them know you.

I have actually had more friend request from just chatting
in the traffic exchanges. If you start a conversation like
that last a while they may ask for you're friend request.

Now that you have a better relationship with your list you
can target your emails better to them.

Just wanted to throw this out there.
It's a rough writing but may get the point across.
Would like some input on this.

this is a good article, because you are actually the same person online as you are offline. You still need to simply talk to people and find out what they are looking for.
