Address Importer Problem

I am new with VN. I found out that one way of promoting is inviting your personal contacts, using the address importer. I tried to import contacts with my Yahoo account but after I ticked the next button it says " Error : Please check email/user name matches with service" though I put my right log-in details. Why is that so? Can any one help me out? Thanks. :)

Can anybody tell me how I can promote VN using other than facebook. the promotional tools I have read but here I want to ask, " How can we use Yahoo or hotmail or gmail addresses in this respect?"
