This is something I use with good success and most of the people in my company are not offering this so it gives me a nice edge. I am in network marketing hosting company that allows me to set up as many accounts as I wish all with their own cpanel and which Fantastico deluxe for easy installation of wordpress blogs, Forums and many other programs.
What I do is offer anyone signing up under me in my other main network marketing company a free hosting account and blog setup. I allow them the ability to add 25 separate domains and as many email accounts as they wish to their hosting so they can also make the same offer to their downline. This adds a little extra oomph to my marketing efforts by adding extra value to my offering compared to others.

Support is easy, as darn near everything in the hosting account has a video to walk them through. The only thing they pay for is registering a domain name at godaddy for 10 bucks.

I wonder if this strategy would work with GDI?

Ryan...just my two cents...but I'd forget GDI..for something along the lines of what Tim is talking about. I don't know if he is promoting a particular company or just speaking in general, but you want a company more along the lines of HostGator for the type of offering he speaks of. You can purchase a "resellers" package and either give away accounts, except for the domain purchase as he said...or offer cheaply priced hosting..however you want to do it. Of course the best route to go would also use a dedicated server for just this use..but then you would have to look more closely at what your budget, and your end goal is. But I am in the "drawing board" stage of just an idea myself...once I get it all together and ready to roll.
