When you feel down and out and everything around you feel hopeless try saying a pray. When grief and loses you bear, try making a quiet moment for a prayer and taking your troubled heart to him who knows your wounds and worries. God is good all the time he will never fail or forsake you. He will answer your pray.

I am living testimony to that for I have prayed earnestly about my constant headaches and found that my prayers have been answered. This is my favourite psalm 121...I will lift up thine eyes to the hills..also psalm 23....the lord is my shepherd I shall not want. Pray and pray without ceasing.

Thank you for caring Greta. I am not one to pray to God as I am not religious, but I just thanked the universe for all that I have which brings me joy and for all those joyful things that I wish to return to my life at the present. I am trying to focus all of my energies on returning these things to my life right now.

Its him that is responsible for the entire universe. I will do the praying nevertheless for my brother in Christ (You). I am not that religious but I believe in God and that he answers all pray.

I agree with you Greta that you don't have to be 'religious' to believe in God and speak with him through prayer.

I too hope that you soon get back in your life all those things you are missing for a while Bill. I truly believe that being thankful for what you still have that brings you joy is a great way to re-attract the other things that you want back.

well, Bill, the universe was made by God--His hand shows up in everything. My prayers have been answered as well.
It's a great day!

Well...this is probably gonna stir up a few...and it's truly not my intentions..but it's something I stand on as firm as others stand on their beliefs...If you don't know Jesus Christ as you Saviour...then I'm sorry but God is not answering your prayers...it may even seem like he is..but He's not. I also know this from experience. Christ is His Son and the Only way to the Father(God)is through the Son(Christ). Now I will say that God may hear your prayers but he really doesn't react to any untill you know Christ...I will also say that God isn't the only one listening.

Oh! I know that's what we have been told that through the Son we get to God. but when we are speaking we usually say God this or that. Another thing tell us who is listening this part sounds interesting...

Well...we tend to forget that Satan does roam this earth...and has many helpers of his own. Now I don't believe he can read our minds, or thoughts...have no proof either way and that does involve your hearts belief in Christ. But anything that proceed out of our mouths...then I don't see why he couldn't hear that...and even move in a way to make someone think God answered a prayer when it may have well been Lucifer...or one of his minions.
Lucifer was the most beautiful, and most powerful angel before being cast down to earth...and he loves to copy the workings of both God and Christ to fool folks...seen it too many times....
Also prayers may be indirectly answered just because of Gods will. For instance, someone is deathly ill...but in Gods eternal plan it's not that persons time to depart...so God heals him, and people think God was personally answering their prayer when He was really only staying to His plan. We all have an appointed time..and yes it can be changed, but only through the power of our Lord.
I know it sounds complicated but really it's not...we have to learn to use not only our teachings, our studies, but use common sense along with it. Learned, or re-learned that one from BH.
