Doing Well By Doing Good

I have been in network marketing off and on for 20 years. Something was always lacking or cold about it. Allalong the way I wished the power of the business model we all love could be used in a more useful and meaningful way. Now it can.

I challenge everyone who considers themselves a 'network marketer' to get involved with this. I was extremely skeptical at first for at first blush it seems to cross a kind of taboo line. "You can't do that with MLM...can you!?"

I had the pleasure of speaking with the founder for about 45 minutes the other day. Not only were my concerns put to rest but my mlm fire is back and this time for the right reasons. You have no reason to trust me and I know that, but I ask that you do.

The spotlight is going to shine very brightly on this in the spring as he makes the talk show rounds. Jump in with both feet and be part of the solution. In the vernacular of the mlm'er it is in soft launch now. The site and back office in my estimation are about 95% 'done' yet evolving.

Lets put the power of our business into action!

Affiliate link removed due to not being allowed in this section - however Dans sig link is connected to this post anyway - Debs :)

Checked out your sign link and it is GVO. I never seen that page before so my guess is that is your own lead capture page you made, right?

When I click Dans sig link it doesn't go to GVO?

It goes to a site that lends itself to discussion about whether successful MLM and charitable giving can co-exist harmoniously which is why I just took out the extra link and left this thread here in the internet marketing general discussion section..

Thanks for the help Debbie and very well put. My sig link is a domain I own that I point to my GVM page. Spend a little time on the site and you will see that it has nothing to do with GVO. There is a connection in that Joel Therien is the owner of both domains and is also in a leadership capacity at GVM. I am not sure of his title but I believe he is president of marketing.

GVM is new and like I said in 'soft launch'. Anyone, including you, on this site has been bitten by the mlm bug. For me something has been missing for a long time and GVM fills that void. "Doing Well By Doing Good" is the motto and if you spend some quality time on the site you will see why. Like my signature says, you can earn a living helping to save lives.

If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. A FAQ type page is coming along with much more. The founder and others involved have their hands full in Haiti right now.

That's OK William. A young man with your drive could make a lot of money and accomplish even more good along the way.

We are all either part of the solution or part of the problem. Nothing is a complete solution but nothing else I have found is based on Network Marketing. The net is less and less being used to its potential for positive change. Buy this! Buy that! Join This! Join that! 99% of it is just BS.

The readers of this forum are in the cat birds seat. Do good by doing well.

I'm don't know what the saying "The readers of this forum are in the cat birds seat." means but I'll take your word for it.

I agree 295% with you about all the BS and there is a whole lot of it!!!

I mean they, and any network marketer worthy of their salt should take this opportunity and run with it. Look at it this way, in 5 years you have made a comfortable living for yourself in this industry and have a nice residual income. Would you have rather gotten there by selling over priced juices, web hosting, etc., or by helping to save lives? I'll take the Karma that comes with saving lives.

I am quite sure you are making money in your ventures. You seem very capable. For that reason and others, my point remains the same. The fruits of a networkers labor can be many.

I agree and it all depends on the niche that each individual person is interested in. At the point you know what niche then you start look for the perfect venture and research it to be sure its not a scam.

Agreed. I think thats what sold me on GVM, its 15 year track record and the people in front and behind the scenes. The hollowness and BS and get rich quick stuff is overwhelming. Maybe its just being a bit older and wanting to make a difference. Make money too of course, but not so centered on the greed. Call it balance, yin yang, karma, ? Our world needs more of this.

I always tell people who are new to this industry to spend 30 minutes a day just reading through peoples post on the forums. Most of the top producers in the industry are on these forums and it is a great place to network.

Setting goals in my opinion is one of the most important things you must do, not only in business but also in life !

The wrong way to set goals is to set a goal with no idea on what it is exactly going to take to reach that goal.

For example, Most people in the home business industry set a goal like I want to make 10K per month. There are several problems with setting goals like this. Most people have no experience in the industry and have no idea what it takes to make money let alone 10K per month.

You must figure out how much product must be sold to reach that goal. You must find out how many people you must personally recruit. You must figure out the most effective way to reach that goal based on your companies commission structure.

When all of these things are determined your goals must be set according true facts of your situation. Once you figure out exactly what it takes you can set goals specific to the task of accomplishing that goal.

Charles please don't add separate posts on the same thread / same day unless you are answering another post from someone else - you can edit any of your own posts to add to them whenever required. It is not fair to earn extra credits for posting when editing would suffice.

I've left it this time because you are new and it's good to see you participating with some very valid points on goal setting.

One other pointer though for everyone else wanting to add to this - this thread is about altruistic marketing, making a difference and giving something back - whilst goal setting is an important part of marketing and being successful, it's important to relate all comments back to the original post please guys.

Regards,
Debs
