I know, when ya see something you just know is some type of scam you want to sound the alarm!
I would just ask do it politely, besides the person sending out the ad that caught your attention may be innocently involved. Just remember that some are still newbies to some of this...it may not be intentional...just my thought, and BH's!
Thanks!

I cannot agree more. I think the intention of this board is more to provide information in a more general way on typical types of scams and how to recognize them. There are always new ones that will come up, but the general principles are not new and have been applied way before online marketing existed.

It should also be a requirement that when naming a scam you back up the claim with relevent information and links that prove your claim, simply making the claim does not prove or disprove that the scheme is a scam you could be a disgruntled member who didn't fully understand the system or have had a falling out with a member of your upline.

you need to back up your claims for them to be taken seriously as they say "The Proof is in the Pudding "

Everyone I agree, we need to make sure that no names are named unless there is specific proof, and even then i'd rather only the program was mentioned. Designed to educate and warn our members... NOT to accuse or shame, lets keep this section above board please!

I agree MOSTLY! Let me explain my reasoning and you may agree why. There have been two members who went around sending emails about being the next of kin. When you have that it is called a Nigerian Scam which you put that in google and you can find out more about that. These members should nlot and will not kept secrete everyone should be warned. I reported two people to you olin a while ago and you acted FAST and I mean really fast on deleting them and thanks for that, I get plenty of those in my emails already, don't need it here too.

Also, Other than that I agree we should not mention names unless it is on a rare occasion like that. Companies that are a scam are hard to find proof on so no one is allowed to claim a company being a scam then. The proof would need to be a CREDIBLE source like from a .edu,.org,.gov,exc. I feel that it should be within reason to say this or that is a scam, However, some proof cannot be show through a google search or document. Personal experience is the BEST form of proof but the only problem is you can see someone elses experiences which is how I know what is a scam! Just my thoughts, fats, and Opinions about this subject. Good Luck Every one:-)

Hey Friends,

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WE ALL READ THIS FANTASTIC POST -IN OUR OWN FORUM- FORUM ETIQUETTE

LINK IS http://viralnetworks.com/forum-thread/id/805/FORUM_ETIQUETTE.html

JUST COPY - PASTE THE LINK IN ANOTHER TAB OR WINDOW AND READ.

I fully agree that irrespective of what the topic is scams, complaints about other sites, members, or any information from which we would like other members to be aware or or not fall prey to, it would be ethical in the view of our fantastic Site not to name any person, site or even mention the link directly to other members thereby spreading the word rather than containing it.

I feel we should respect the integrity and rules of the Forum, and FIRST AND FOREMOST REPORT IT TO ADMIN/SUPPORT. You could only say that you would like to report a POSSIBLE SCAM SITE OR LINK....and admin/support will guide you thereafter, rather than indulge in mudslinging and slandering one another.

AS FAR AS SCAMS AND REPORTING SCAMS OF DIFFERENT TYPES ARE CONCERNED THERE ARE SO MANY SITES WHERE WE CAN REPORT THEM DIRECTLY...SOME OF THEM ARE

http://www.gptboycott.com/

http://spamlinks.net/track-report-addresses.htm

http://www.scambusters.org/

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

http://www.delete-computer-history.com/scam-sites.html

http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php

As William rightly said it, Personal experience is the best form of proof, and if we feel a site is a scam or even the remotest hint is visible, let us not EVER project the link here on the site at all, let alone even discuss about it.

WISHING YOU ALL A SCAM FREE AND HAPPY PROSPEROUS NETWORKING!

Regards

Sachin

Anyway, do due diligence. I trust anyone but only after I verify, first.

Mary, I know the sentiment...but our whole Gov't. is a scam nowdays. Can't trust any part of it.
William..the proof for that is how our country, not just the economy is sinking daily. Sure it's partly our fault, but even when we've done our duty and voted for who we believe to be the best choice it seems nowdays most of them are crooks of one kind or another.

Well we will always have crocks in any business on the planet so that would suggest that everything is a scam. Anyway, I don't reply on the BBB. I do my own research.

Lets be honest most of us have never had a Bernie Madoff situation, where you gave someone money and their intent was to scam you, deceive you and take your money. Chances are that hasn’t happened to you!

Charles, I have no clue where you got that information came from but it has happened to me a few times. It is very common. Everyone is out to scam everyone (well almost everyone online that is).

That's a very sweeping statement William and while we all do have to be careful to do our due diligence before signing up to something I would hate to think that majority of people online were there to scam us :)

I too have been caught out a couple of times, but I still wouldn't want to think that most people were out to get me..

Although no one WANTS to think that but if you think about all the scams you have seen and/or heard of and the amount of scams per day is tremendous large number out weighing the legit people left online. I maybe of exaggerated a little but there is some fact to my statement that should alarm people to be careful, get to know people and/or a company before having any affiliation with them and don't open attachments sent to you by anyone you don't know or am not expecting one from as they can be viruses.
