How Affiliate Marketers Survive Online.


Affiliate Marketers are constantly seeking great new products and services to offer their mailing list and potential customers. Typically they join the various affiliate networks expecting to find items which are in demand and for which they will be rewarded with a huge number of commissions. This unfortunately rarely happens due to the anomaly of factors that come into effect when marking online.

However there are tried and tested techniques that have worked in the past and continue to work even today that will make your success more possible.

The first of the three techniques I will mention in this article is the use of unique web pages for each separate product or service you have to offer as an affiliate, so here goes;


1. Unique web pages

For every product you promote create a separate web page in order to avoid distraction and what is known as analysis paralysis.

Too much data may inhibit the viewers ability to make a decision, so it is good practice no to bundle lots of different promotions together unnecessarily or simply to save money on web hosting. Allow your visitors to focus on a single product at a time.

Don’t forget to explain in easy to understand language what the product does and how the reader will benefit from using the product or service. Employ the usual tactics that contribute to providing compelling and attractive pages, and instructions that are actionable.

2. Offer something of value for free

Besides the valuable information you may already provide, in the form of perhaps a blog posts or messages on social media platforms, you can giveaway free reports and ebooks. If you decide to use PLR material, be careful here though, there are currently far too many poorly written ebooks and reports on the net that offer very little significant value. So be sure to seek your resource from high quality and reliable sources.

In order to really benefit from giving away free stuff, it would be a good idea where permissible to brand the item you are giving away with your personal information. To help prolong your relationship and engagement with your readers and potential customers, you should integrate your signup form with an auto-responder, where carefully sequenced messages are delivered to your mailing list subscribers in a seamless manner. Try not to make your promotion sound like a sales pitch and where possible avoid using the word ‘free’.

3. Aim your promotion at a specified target audience

If you decide to build one, besides writing for your personal blog, you could simply write articles for e-zines and e-reports. In this way you potentially open a doorway for exposure to an audience you may otherwise have not had access to. It is also a good idea to join business and marketing social networks where you can share ideas and write about relevant topics that reach both fellow marketers and business people.

Targeting an specific audience will require you to focus on generating relevant keywords, location and interest. Having this information will be useful for advertising and your search engine optimisation efforts.

Using these simple techniques may help determine the survival of your business as an affiliate marketer, use them wisely and combine them with what works for your niche or business model.
